We fully understand that when a property has suffered fire and smoke damage, this can be a very traumatic time as your home no longer feels the same. Plus, if you have to move into temporary accommodation, this can introduce uncertainty and doubt. It is our aim to clean up and restore your home to pre-fire condition, with as little disruption as possible and we will focus our efforts on clearing up and helping you to return your home as soon as possible.
Smoke damage is frequently disregarded when it is not apparent to the naked eye. The toxins and chemicals present in smoke particles can lead to long-term health problems, including respiratory issues, if the affected materials are not properly removed and decontaminated by professionals.
At M&D Specialist Cleaning Services Ltd, we pride ourselves on our fire restoration services where our fire damage experts carry out the necessary inspections to fully understand the extent of the damage of a property and put together an immediate and timely plan of the fire damage cleanup and restoration process to ensure the work is undertaken as quickly as possible.
As an independent provider of fire damage restoration services, we understand that no two incidents of fire, smoke and heat damage are the same – the overall damage sustained is always different, however our experts recognise that the professional manner and approach of the damage management practitioner must be the same for all cases.
Fire damage can be troublesome enough but the residual smoke damage can cause serious health issues and damage to your building and contents. We can assist with…
- Property strip-out
- Removal of contents
- Restoration of contents
- Smoke damage restoration
- Fire damage restoration
- Reinstatement works
The clean-up process must begin as soon as a fire is put out. As part of our fire damage restoration service, we will carry out an on-site assessment of the contents and structure and then remove anything that cannot be restored to pre-incident condition and remove anything that can be restored to our large warehouse storage facility at Washington.
Hazardous areas will then be identified and a strategy to deal with them will be developed to prevent any additional damage. There will be water damage from the emergency services putting out the fire which will also be taken care of.
The soot and smoke damage must be cleaned up after the building has been decontaminated and contents have been removed for restoration. If not thoroughly removed, smoke odour can cling to surfaces and soot particles can be extremely harmful to your health. Smoke odour on both your contents and any structural parts that remain in the property will also be taken care of.
Reinstatement works can then be undertaken by our construction company and our network of approved contractors and any of your contents that were not damaged will be returned on their completion.
